Those are the two most important mons on any rain team. Pelipper is obvious but Manaphy is the best rain abuser in OU because it provides a powerful way to break fatter teams, a status absorber, a bulky wincon, and an emergency check for various set up mons. Manaphy takes rain to new heights instead of being pure ladder matchup .
Swampert-Mega (M) @ Swampertite Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spe Adamant Nature. Waterfall. Earthquake. Ice Punch. Low Kick. The main powerhouse of this team. I chose Politoed because I want a rain-setter, and I prefer Drizzle over using Rain Dance to avoid wasting a turn. Politoed's main role in this team is to just set up rain, so my Swampert can sweep. Giving Mega Swampert 152 Speed EVs is for out speeding Pokemon in rain not faster than Mega Sceptile, his arch enemy. The moves give the best coverage he can have. STAB Earthquake and Waterfall from base 150 Attack is quite strong. Ice punch for coverage and Rain Dance for setting rain when needed. EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe. Adamant Nature. - Waterfall. - Earthquake. - Ice Punch. - Power-Up Punch. Mega Swampert is a very strong and very fast under rain. Bolstering a massive attack stat of 150 and a wide movepool with all the coverage options it needs, it deserves it's place as a staple on rain teams.
